Job Title: Extraction Technician
Position Summary: Working as part of a Self Managed Team, the Extractions technician will have a high level of expertise in extraction processes, types and relevance of products and communication skills. The Extraction Technician is primarily responsible for the production processes within the lab. These processes include, but are not limited to, blended solvent extractions, crude refinement and finished products processing.
Understanding of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations as they pertain to the industry, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, regulations, directives and standard operating procedures
Understand and adhere to productions schedules
Assist in forecasting production needs
Follow employee safety and compliance training
Maintain all required manufacturing records during the production process
Maintain a clean work environment
Must have strong communication skills with the ability to express ideas clearly and concisely in written and verbal formats
Must understand and comply with typical laboratory standards
Must be familiar with OSHA guidelines for dealing with hazardous chemicals
Assist in training of new employees
Develop and sustain strong working relationships with fellow team members and others throughout the organization
Ensure up to date product and process knowledge is maintained
Display a flexible and co-operative approach at all times
Ability to use standard office equipment, computer equipment and software including word processing, spreadsheet applications and electronic mail
Knowledge and adherence to the policies, procedures and goals of the company
Transporting samples to testing facility and other small errands required for lab.
Working knowledge of all cannabis production processes and methodologies
Working knowledge of vacuum distillation techniques, equipment and methods.
Working knowledge of available analytical tools
Working knowledge of 5S, Six Sigma, or other lean manufacturing system.
Working knowledge of Google Sheets/Excel
Ability to follow standard operating procedures and master manufacturing documents
Ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and multi-task with minimal supervision.

Minimum Education and Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent
2+ years experience in an extraction lab setting
Experience working in the cannabis industry
Strong knowledge of extraction laboratory setting requirements
Knowledge of ETS extraction equipment
Working Conditions / Physical Requirements:
The work for this position is performed in an extraction laboratory setting
May be required to work evenings and weekends
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Valid MED Badge
Must be able to lift, carry and balance up to 50 pounds, may include sitting or standing for extended periods of time, as well as stooping, bending over and/or crouching.
