Job Title:  Human Resources Manager

Position Summary: We are a high-end cannabis infused product facility located in Denver that has an opening for a Human Resources Manager. The responsibilities for this position include managing benefits, running payroll, coaching, recruiting and serving as a liaison between management and its employees.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop, revise, and recommend personnel policies and procedures
  • Ensure that policies comply with federal and state law
  • Ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are compliant
  • Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental and vision insurance, PTO and employee assistance
  • Advise management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
  • Process bi-weekly payroll
  • Recruit, interview and advise management on selection of employees to fill vacant positions
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward Company goals
  • Prepare employee separation notices and related documentation, and conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations
  • Keep personnel records of benefits plans participation and personnel transactions, such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, terminations, salary increases and employee statistics
  • Attend personnel-related meetings and investigations
  • Write and update job descriptions in conjunction with department heads
  • Maintain and revise the company’s handbook on policies and procedures
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs
  • Investigate accidents and prepare reports for insurance carrier
  • Other projects as assigned

Minimum Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management or Business Administration
  • 5-10 years’ experience as a Human Resources Manager
  • Current knowledge of federal and state laws
  • Coaching / training

Working Conditions:

Daily work is completed in a climate-controlled, clean-facility, warehouse environment

Preferred License / Certifications:

  • MED Occupational License
  • Certificate in Professional in Human Resources (PHR) preferred
